Kindergarten - a child must be 5 years of age by September 1st of the year
entering school. In Florida, kindergarten is mandatory. Proof must be
furnished for immunization against polio, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping
cough, measles, rubella, rebeola, and mumps. Immunization can be obtained
free at the Health Department.
